Muri Beach Resort is your perfect wedding location - imagine your ceremony on our beachfront deck overlooking a tropical palm fringed island or on our white sandy beach under the coconut trees with the tropical island backdrop. Both options offer you the magical setting for your dream wedding.

Let your personal on-site wedding coordinator take care of everything for you from the formalities of registering for the marriage license, booking your celebrant, choosing bouquets, creating the perfect relaxed setting, arranging those extra special touches and of course your after ceremony celebrations, that will give you a lifetime of memories in one day. Celebrate with family and friends at our poolside venue or an intimate beachfront gathering. We can cater for groups of up to 90 from a casual cocktail party to a formal dinner style celebration. Our on-site wedding co-ordinator can take care of everything for you.

Tropical Beach Wedding Package for NZD$955.00:

Onsite Wedding coordinator
Ceremony on the resort's beach front deck overlooking the Muri Lagoon or on the beautiful sandy beach in front of the resort
Return transport to the courthouse for registration
Standard registration costs
Celebrant
Witness (if required)
Floral arrangements - Head Ei or simple bouquet for the bride and neck ei for the groom. (Made from local flowers)
A bottle of chilled champagne for the bride and groom following the ceremony to celebrate the occasion
This package also includes a decorated signing table and recorded background music of your choice
Internationally recognised Certified Marriage Certificate

Island Escape Wedding Package for NZD$1255.00:

Ceremony held on the beach on Koromiri Motu (an uninhabited tropical palm fringed island nestled in Muri lagoon
On-site wedding co-ordinator
Transport to the island for the bride and groom and up to 4 guests (For additional guests please add $15.00 pp)
Transport to the courthouse for registration
Standard registration costs
Celebrant
Witness (if required)
Floral Arrangements - Head Ei or Bouquet for the bride and neck Ei for the Groom (decoration made of local flowers)
A bottle of chilled champagne for the bride and groom following the ceremony to celebrate the occasion

Registration for Marriage License

The Cook Islands allows international visitors to marry here with ease. The Cook Islands' government required that the bride and groom reside in the country for three working days from the day of license application to the day of the wedding day.

This requirement can be waived by the Registrar if you have a good reason and with a written request.
The cost of the waiver is NZD$55.00.

All you need to provide for your license application is:

Birth certificate or certified copies of them
Passports
If previously married, divorce papers or death certificates of previous spouse.

Note: All documentation must be in English or have an English translation

Wedding Ceremony and Reception Booking Terms and Conditions

Cancellation fees will apply for cancellations and will be charged as follows:

Requirea $750.00 deposit to secure booking for wedding ceremony and reception
Wedding deposits are non-refundable.
Any cancellations within -

30 days of the event receive a 50% cancellation fee
7 days of the event receive a 100% cancellation fee
